Hearts of Iron IV - Multiplayer

Post by Njord » 09 Mar 2018, 20:23

Hello all,

This is not very BB related at all but I have come to enjoy the strategy game Hearts of Iron 4 by Paradox quite a lot. Played the HOI2 incarnation quite a lot, thought HOI3 was really not fun, but the fourth version of the game has grown on me.

I have only been playing solo-player so far but would like to try out some multi-player and I am wondering if anyone in our friendly community would like to try it out or could help me on the way?

Best regards,

Njord

Well, its better than the previous incarnation of the game. If you have played other Paradox titles like Europa Universalis its familiar. It takes some time and then you will get used to it. Issuing orders to your armies and handling production etc has been very much improved.

What I really like of the game is the alternative history routes that is open, like re-instating the Kaiser playing as Germany.

Did buy the game too so, when I will understand the mechanism we maybe could organize 3 players game :)

I suppose the multiplayer is pBEM like, means we do not have to finish the game in one day and everybody can plan their move within a span on time ?

Cool, great Antituros!

They way I have understood the MP function is real-time with the option to accelerate or slow down the time when needed. You have the possibility to save the game, end the session, and then start again. It is not a turn based game as such.

So it is not PBEM.

Can be difficult then to mobilize more than 2 player at a time.
